Illustrative Mathematics® and Teaching Lab Join Forces to Strengthen Math Instruction with Customized Coaching

September 16, 2025 — Illustrative Mathematics (IM) announced today a new IM Certified partnership with Teaching Lab to expand high-quality coaching and professional learning for educators using IM’s problem-based math curriculum — giving more classrooms the tools to help every student know, use, and enjoy mathematics.

Through curriculum-based training and coaching cycles, Teaching Lab helps teachers, coaches, school leaders, and system leaders build the knowledge, skills, and beliefs needed for lasting instructional change. The nonprofit’s approach blends what educators know, what they believe, and what they do in practice — so growth sticks. Their vision: a world where teachers and students thrive together in communities that nurture lifelong learning and meaningful lives.

As an IM Certified partner, Teaching Lab will deliver coaching products and services that give K–12 schools and districts using IM Math even more ways to deepen their practice. The partnership will leverage Teaching Lab’s Head, Heart & Habits model to provide role-aligned coaching that supports teachers, coaches, and leaders from the start of implementation through sustained classroom growth.
