Illustrative Mathematics® Announces TalkingPoints as Newest IM Certified® Partner

March 19, 2026 — Illustrative Mathematics (IM) today announced TalkingPoints as its newest IM Certified partner, expanding support for families of students learning with IM Math in K–12 classrooms. The partnership will strengthen connections between classroom instruction and learning at home by helping families better understand and reinforce key math concepts and skills.

When families and schools work together, students thrive. Yet meaningful partnerships around learning can be difficult to sustain at scale. Through this partnership, IM and TalkingPoints will help bridge that gap by providing families with clear, accessible ways to engage with and support their child’s math learning.

TalkingPoints’ research-based platform enables two-way multilingual communication in more than 150 languages through SMS text messages and mobile and web applications, ensuring every family can participate in their child’s learning. By removing language and access barriers and delivering clear, accessible, actionable guidance to families, TalkingPoints helps educators and families align around student learning and extend meaningful reinforcement of math concepts and skills beyond the classroom. Grounded in decades of research, the TalkingPoints platform, with embedded best practices, makes family-school partnerships part of daily practice.

Through the IM Certified partnership, TalkingPoints will offer Academics at Home, part of its Academic Improvement solution for schools. Aligned to IM Math, TalkingPoints Academics at Home helps extend learning beyond the classroom with:

• Instructions translated into and accessible in 150+ languages
• Alignment to each individual district’s scope and sequence
