Illustrative Mathematics® Partners with New Visions for Public Schools to Expand Access to High-Quality Professional Learning in New York City

Tucson, AZ — July 15, 2025 — A strategic expansion of the partnership between Illustrative Mathematics (IM) and New Visions for Public Schools is set to empower thousands of NYC math teachers, delivering readily accessible, high-quality professional learning. By combining IM’s instructional expertise with New Visions’ deep roots in New York City Public Schools, this collaboration aims to strengthen math teaching in classrooms across the five boroughs.

As a leading education nonprofit focused on improving student outcomes in NYC, New Visions has worked in collaboration with New York City Public Schools to support more than 1,600 schools and over 850,000 students in building stronger pathways to success, including through professional learning and coaching around high-quality instructional  materials. Now, as a nationally recognized IM Certified Professional Learning Service partner, New Visions will leverage over 35 years of experience to deliver IM Certified Professional Learning to schools and districts citywide.

Working closely with district leaders, New Visions will tailor each professional learning package to meet the unique needs of their educators. Whether delivered on-site or virtually, these expert-led sessions will equip teachers with the tools, strategies, and support to confidently implement IM’s problem-based math curricula — and help students develop deep, lasting mathematical understanding.
